Being a fitness fanatic, I make a lot of health shakes and smoothies and it’s one of the main reasons I bought the KitchenAid 5 Speed Blender. It’s just a big big part of who I am and what I enjoy to put into my body. So I needed something that would do that job well and I didn’t want to sell the farm either. Simply put, I didn’t want to spend $500 for a Vitamix which is considered the god of blenders.
After using I give this KitchenAid 5 Speed Blender, I’d give it 5 stars! It’s an awesome blender. Fast and strong, you can feel the power as you use it. This morning I made a smoothie from raw carrots, cucumber, apple, and ginger root. Even though it does take several seconds to get a smooth consistency, I was pretty impressed that (for the price) this blender could turn solid raw veggies (all with the skin still on) into a smoothie!
I was looking for a blender that could make smoothies on a daily basis, last longer than 90-days and not cost us a fortune. This blender easily crushes the ice and blends all frozen fruits into a deliciousness without issue as mentioned above. It does not overheat or stall and the 4-level blade prevents air pockets common with other blenders. It is somewhat loud but that is to be expected from a motor powerful enough to easily crush ice in seconds. We recommend this KitchenAid blender to anyone looking for quality at a reasonable price.
